PARKING

On Street & Metered Parking

Looking for parking in Deep Ellum, Dallas? The neighborhood offers plentiful street parking across Elm Street, Main Street, Commerce Street, Canton Street, Indiana Street, and surrounding cross streets. Many of these spots are City of Dallas metered parking, making it easy to find a space near your favorite bars, restaurants, and shops.

Free street parking is available daily from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. After that, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., meters require payment, which can be made with coins at most meters or via the ParkMobile app for quick, convenient digital payments.

Deep Ellum Parking Lots and Garages – Dallas Parking Options

In addition to street parking, Deep Ellum offers both public and private parking lots throughout the neighborhood, with rates ranging from $2 to $25 per hour.

Public Parking Lots
The City of Dallas operates three public parking lots conveniently located near and underneath I-345 along Good Latimer Expressway. Daytime rates are $2 per hour, and evening rates are $5 per hour. These lots support mobile payments, including the ParkMobile app, for quick and secure parking.

Private Parking Lots
Several privately owned parking lots provide additional options close to Deep Ellum’s restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. Rates vary by lot and time, often increasing to $20 or more per hour on weekend nights. All private lots accept mobile payments or pay machines. Do not pay attendants requesting cash, as official payment is only through posted machines or apps.

Parking Garages
For covered parking, Deep Ellum has multiple garage options, including:

  • The Stack at 2700 Commerce Street, entrance on Henry Street

  • The Epic at 2550 Pacific Avenue, entrance on Pacific Avenue

Garage rates can vary depending on time and day, with dynamic pricing increasing on weekends, similar to surface lots.

Deep Ellum Rideshare Guide – Uber, Lyft, and Alto

As one of Dallas’ most vibrant entertainment districts, Deep Ellum encourages visitors to use rideshare services for safe and convenient transportation. Popular options include Uber, Lyft, and Alto, making it easy to get in and out of the neighborhood without worrying about parking.

Designated Deep Ellum Rideshare Zones

During peak weekend hours, Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., rideshare passengers may be directed to designated pickup and drop-off zones. These zones are designed to provide access within 1 to 2 blocks of your destination and help manage traffic in the busiest areas of Deep Ellum.

When you request a ride, these designated rideshare locations automatically appear in the Uber and Lyft apps, guiding you to the nearest safe pickup or drop-off point.

The Dallas Police Department, City of Dallas Parking Enforcement, and the Deep Ellum Foundation’s Deep Ellum Safe team support the enforcement and safety of these zones during peak nightlife hours.

TRAIN & BUS 

The Deep Ellum District hosts two DART Rail stops. The Deep Ellum Station is located at the intersection of Good Latimer and Swiss Avenue and the Baylor Station is located at the intersection of Malcolm X Boulevard and Junius Street.

BIKE & SCOOT 

Bike 

Cyclists may enter the Deep Ellum District from the west and downtown via a dedicated bike facility on Commerce Street. They may also from the east via dedicated facilities on the Santa Fe Trail. The Santa Fe Trail offers entrances to Deep Ellum at Elm Street and Canton Street. 

Deep Ellum has a “shared” bike lane on Main Street as well as bike corrals and bike pumps hosted by several friends of the Deep Ellum bike facilities including Patagonia at 2626 Main Street.

Pedago Electric Bikes and Red Star Bicycles also offer bikes for purchase or for rent

Dockless Electric Scooters

App-based dockless electric scooters are available in Deep Ellum for your use to get to and from as well as around the neighborhood. It is prohibited to ride scooters on the sidewalks in Deep Ellum. Additionally, scooters are rendered inoperable in Deep Ellum after 9:00pm nightly to promote public safety in this busy pedestrian district. 

Please take safety precautions to protect yourself and those around you while operating electric scooters in Deep Ellum such as:

  • Wear a helmet
  • Ride one person per scooter
  • Do not ride against the flow of traffic
  • When parking scooters, park upright on the sidewalk and do not block walkways or doorway
  • Children under the age of 16 may not legally ride scooters
  • Use a designated corral, when possible, to park your scooter or bike.
